Terms & Conditions and Privacy
Last updated: July 30, 2026 · Version 2026-07-30
1. Acceptance of these Terms
These Terms & Conditions (the "Terms") are a binding agreement between you ("you", "your", or "User") and AEO.page ("AEO", "we", "us", or "our"), the operator of the website at aeo.page and its associated tools, applications, APIs, and services (together, the "Service"). By accessing or using any part of the Service — including simply browsing the website, running any free tool, entering your email address, or subscribing to a paid plan — you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and by our privacy practices set out in Section 7. If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you are authorized to bind that organization, and "you" includes that organization.
You must be at least 16 years old (or the age of digital consent in your jurisdiction) to use the Service.
2. Definitions
- "Free Tools" means the no-charge utilities we make available, including the AEO Audit, Schema Generator, ROI Calculator, AEO Readiness Quiz, AI Crawlability Tester, LLMs.txt Generator, and any similar tools.
- "Platform" means our paid and account-based products and services for optimizing and monitoring how websites are represented in AI answer engines.
- "Input" means any URL, domain, text, file, or other data you submit to the Service.
- "Output" means any score, report, recommendation, generated markup, calculation, or other result the Service returns.
- "AI Engines" means third-party answer engines, chatbots, and crawlers such as ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google Gemini / AI Overviews, Microsoft Copilot, and Claude.
3. The Website, Free Tools & Platform
The Service helps website owners understand and improve how their content may be discovered and cited by AI Engines. We may add, change, suspend, or remove any feature, tool, or part of the Service at any time. We do not guarantee that the Service, any tool, or any specific result will be available, uninterrupted, error-free, or retained.
4. Free Tools — informational only, no guarantees
The Free Tools and their Output are provided for general informational purposes only. Scores, grades, "readiness" percentages, recommendations, generated schema/markup, and estimates are automated, heuristic, and may be incomplete, inaccurate, or out of date. In particular:
- We do not guarantee any particular outcome — including that your site will be crawled, indexed, ranked, cited, mentioned, or recommended by any AI Engine or search engine, or that any score will improve.
- AI Engines and their algorithms are controlled by third parties and change frequently and without notice. We have no control over, and make no representation about, how they treat your content.
- Output is a starting point, not a substitute for your own review and testing. Any code, markup, or file we generate is provided "as is" and you are responsible for validating and implementing it correctly.
- You are responsible for any actions you take, or refrain from taking, based on the Output.
5. Acceptable use & your responsibilities
You agree that you will not, and will not permit anyone else to:
- submit a domain, URL, or content that you do not own or are not authorized to test, analyze, or submit;
- use the Service to violate any law or regulation, or to infringe the rights of any third party;
- abuse, overload, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its infrastructure, including via automated scraping, scanning, or excessive requests, or by circumventing rate limits, security, or access controls;
- submit unlawful, harmful, defamatory, or malicious content, or personal data of others without a lawful basis and their consent;
- resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the Free Tools or their Output without our written permission;
- reverse engineer, copy, or create derivative works of the Service except as permitted by law.
You are solely responsible for your Input, for maintaining the confidentiality of any credentials, and for all activity under your account or email.
6. Accounts, plans & payment
Some features require an account or a paid subscription. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep it current. Fees, billing cycles, and plan terms are as described at the point of purchase. Except where required by law, fees are non-refundable. We may change pricing prospectively with reasonable notice. Failure to pay may result in suspension or termination of paid features.
7. Privacy & personal data (including the email you enter)
We take data seriously. This section explains what personal data we collect and how we use it. By using the Service — including entering your email to run a Free Tool — you consent to the practices described here.
What we collect
- Email address you enter to use a Free Tool, request a report, book a demo, or create an account.
- Inputs you submit, such as the domain or URL you audit and values you enter into a tool.
- Usage & technical data, such as which tool you used, timestamps, approximate location derived from your IP address (e.g., city and country), browser/user-agent, and similar diagnostics.
- Cookies / local storage used to remember your email so you don't have to re-enter it, and to operate and improve the Service.
How we use it
- to run the tool you requested and deliver its Output, including emailing you a copy of a report you asked for;
- to operate, secure, maintain, and improve the Service and prevent abuse;
- to send you related product information, tips, and offers — you can unsubscribe at any time via the link in our emails or by contacting us;
- to comply with legal obligations and enforce these Terms.
Legal basis & consent
Where required, we rely on your consent (which you give by submitting your email and using the tool) and on our legitimate interest in operating and marketing the Service. You may withdraw consent to marketing at any time; this will not affect the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.
Sharing & processors
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers who process it on our behalf to run the Service (for example, cloud hosting, email delivery, and analytics providers such as Cloudflare), under obligations of confidentiality, and where required by law or to protect our rights.
Retention
We retain personal data for as long as needed to provide the Service, for legitimate business and legal purposes, and thereafter delete or anonymize it. You may request deletion as described below.
Your rights
Subject to applicable law (including the GDPR and CCPA/CPRA where they apply), you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, object to or restrict certain processing, and opt out of marketing. To exercise these rights, contact us using the details in Section 17. We will respond within the time required by law.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal data, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
International transfers
Your data may be processed in countries other than your own. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for such transfers.
India — Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023
If you are located in India, we process your personal data in accordance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (the "DPDP Act") and applicable Information Technology rules. We collect and process your data for the specific, lawful purposes described in this Section, on the basis of the consent you provide — including by ticking the consent box before using a tool or submitting a form — or as otherwise permitted by the DPDP Act. As a Data Principal you may, at any time, withdraw your consent and request access to, correction of, completion of, updating of, or erasure of your personal data by contacting our Grievance Officer below. Withdrawing consent will not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.

In accordance with the DPDP Act and applicable IT rules, the Grievance Officer / Data Protection contact for AEO.page is:

You may contact the Grievance Officer to raise any concern regarding the processing of your personal data or to exercise your rights. We will acknowledge and endeavour to resolve grievances within the timelines prescribed by applicable law.
8. Intellectual property
The Service, including its software, design, text, tools, scoring methods, and branding, is owned by AEO or its licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for its intended purpose and in accordance with these Terms. You retain ownership of your Input; you grant us a license to process it solely to provide and improve the Service. You may use the Output for your own website and business, but you may not represent our Output as independent certification or guarantee.
9. Third-party services & AI engines
The Service references, links to, or interoperates with third-party services and AI Engines that we do not own or control. Their names and trademarks belong to their respective owners; we are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by them. We are not responsible for third-party services, their availability, their content, their policies, or how they treat your website or content. Your use of any third-party service is governed by that third party's terms.
10. No professional advice
The Service and its Output do not constitute legal, financial, marketing, SEO, or other professional advice, and do not create any professional or fiduciary relationship. You should obtain independent professional advice before acting on anything provided by the Service.
11. Disclaimer of warranties
THE SERVICE, THE FREE TOOLS, AND ALL OUTPUT ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, OR THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE. WE DISCLAIM ALL SUCH WARRANTIES TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
12. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL AEO OR ITS OWNERS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, OR SUPPLIERS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, GOODWILL, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE OR THESE TERMS, WHETHER IN CONTRACT, TORT, OR OTHERWISE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR (B) USD 100. FOR FREE TOOLS PROVIDED AT NO CHARGE, OUR LIABILITY IS LIMITED TO USD 100 IN THE AGGREGATE. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW CERTAIN LIMITATIONS, SO SOME OF THE ABOVE MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.
13. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless AEO and its owners, officers, employees, and suppliers from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to your Input, your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.
14. Changes to the Service & these Terms
We may modify these Terms at any time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Changes are effective when posted. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree, stop using the Service.
15. Suspension & termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to all or part of the Service at any time, with or without notice, including for actual or suspected violation of these Terms or to protect the Service or others. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including Sections 7–13 and 16) will survive.
16. Governing law & disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of Haryana, India will have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in any court of competent jurisdiction. You agree to first attempt to resolve any dispute informally by contacting us. To the extent permitted by law, any claim must be brought within one year after it arises.
